Medical

In the medical field, TDVision dramatically enhances the MRI, CAT Scan, DICOM, X-rays, and other medical procedures requiring 3D imagery by converting the XYZ information data sets to true 3D volumetric information. This is suitable for training, diagnosis, education and training purposes.

The recent implementation of TDVision at IOWA University Ophthalmology Division proves the advantages of training ophthalmology students with true 3D visualization in High Definition. This includes our EZViewer, TDVisor, TDVirtualCam, TDVCam, Alterspace and Dejaview applications.

Applications / Use cases

In surgery rooms, TDVision cameras allow a three-dimensional video of a surgery to be transmitted around the world. This aids not only teaching but in performing remote surgeries.

Using TDVision in X-Rays allows a fractured bone to be observed and detected in a 3-D environment. A doctor using a TDVisor would observe the patient`s skeleton as though it were floating in front of him. TDVision enables real-time analysis of tissues, arteries, blood vessels, cells, virus and bacteria in three dimensions. Also, 3D virtual tours of the human body can be created using endoscopic methods.

With TDVision you can see the stem of the veins and arteries as though they were small tubes. The bones look like sponges and the volume and structure can be seen with unprecedented detail and clarity. For example, a fetus looks as though it is floating and the direction of the limbs can be seen in three dimensions.
